Music is therapy. Music moves people. It connects people in ways that no other medium can. It pulls heart strings. It acts as medicine.

Performance Opportunities

Wind Ensemble

This audition-only group of wind and percussion instrumentalists is our finest ensemble in wind music performance.

Beaver Band

The Beaver Band is a student-led, audition-only pep band.  While similar in instrumentation to the Jazz Band, the Beaver Band’s repertoire consists of energetic pop/rock music.

Jazz Band

This audition-only group consists of saxophone, trumpet, trombone, keyboard, guitar, bass, and percussion players.

Concert Band

Members of the Concert Band work on developing their basic skills in tone production, articulation, reading music, scales, and solo and ensemble performance.

Symphonic Band

Members of the Symphonic Band are auditioned and continue to develop tone production, articulation, reading music, scales, and solo and ensemble performance.

Instrumental Music Studio

This class is ideal for students who wish to improve their music reading skills, learn to play an instrument for the first time, or learn to play a secondary instrument.

Musical

Each year, a small set of band and orchestra students try out for the pit orchestra for the Annual Musical. The show is often breathtaking and of professional quality in acting, singing, sets, and costuming.

Winter Programs

When the fall marching season ends, interested members may look forward to Winter Guard and Winter Percussion indoor programs.
